Expedia

Role: Interim Senior IT Director

Problem: Expedia had a gap in IT leadership for its five strategic IT teams (Strategic Planning/Portfolio Management, Project Management, IT Communications, Commodies Management and Process Management). Needing an experienced IT leader to step in to lead and assess these teams, Expedia turned to GrowthWave for help.

Role: Interim CIO

Impact: When the CEO and CFO of Sur La Table needed new IT leadership, they turned to GrowthWave for help. Sur La Table is a privately-held, multi-channel retailer of gourmet cookware and utensils, with 70+ stores nationwide, a catalog and e-commerce site.

Univar USA

Role: Strategic IT Planning

Impact: When Univar USA, a $3B chemical distribution company headquartered in Bellevue, WA, needed guidance for implementing a PMO (Project Management Office) and for reorganizing IT, they turned to GrowthWave.

  • PMO Implementation Planning – GrowthWave interviewed key business and IT resources and built a detailed project plan for implementing a customized PMO.
